"In the Book of Mormon, we have the messages of truth sent to us from God, which are essential to our mortal and our eternal salvation. This book is real, it contains the words of God to us, and it can powerfully bless us in ways we can’t even imagine."
If you have left the good ship Zion for any reason and now question if you have the strength to get back in the boat, I assure you that just like I experienced on the Colorado River, there are people eager and willing to pull you back into the boat. They will lovingly assist you. They will throw their arms around you and be thrilled for your return. Jesus Christ knows how to succor you because he has experienced it all, and because of his atonement, He can offer you the enabling grace to change.
As you turn this new page in your life, go forward with faith. I know that not only can you survive the challenges and trials you face but you can thrive. I know this because I have a small sense for the power of God and know of the sureness of His promises. Those promises are yours by covenant, and no one can take them away. They are lost only if we turn from our covenants and fail to repent.
True conversion occurs as you continue to act upon the doctrines you know are true and keep the commandments, every day.
I would like to encourage you to have good standards for yourselves and your lives and to live according to them. ...Be patient and walk the path to perfection.
